Speed Bones (free or $.99) - game for students to learn and practice identifying bones and parts of bones. The $.99 version is more detailed.
Speed Anatomy Quiz (free or $.99) - a game for students to learn and practice organs of the body. There are different pages for different area and systems. The $.99 is more detailed. Anatomy and Physiology 3D Free - Full 3D male and female body with over 4,700 structures in each model and a remarkable 100,000+ words of anatomical content. Khan Academy: Biology (free) - This app provide free video tutorials for biology and many other sciences. It also provides videos for math tutorials as well. Virtual Cell: Learn about cellular respiration, meiosis and mitosis, protein expression, and RNA expression with movies, still images, texts, and quizzes. Gene Screen: This app provides a wealth of information about genetics including population genetics, recessive genetic diseases, and genetic screening. Further, it provides four genetics calculators. It also has a great map feature that shows the locations of major genetic diseases. Overall an excellent resource. Cell Defender: Aimed at middle school students, this is a fun game that teaches students about the five main structures of the cell and what each structure does. Students get to shoot down invading particles in a cell while helping each part of the cell function properly.
